What is acid rain? Part 2
So what makes an ordinary rain becomes acid rain? This happens when the acidity of rain falls in reaction to common air pollutants, primarily sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides. So when the rain water comes into contact with human pollution of the atmosphere, forms sulfuric and nitric acids. So the rain becomes more acidic yet, with a pH below 3.
What causes it? Human pollutants such as noxious fumes long run factories and power plants as clean energy from coal, gas or petroleum products. Vehicles also emit harmful gases which contribute their grain to the general pollution.

What is acid rain? Part 1
Aquatic and terrestrial animals, trees and plants and even human infrastructure suffer the damaging effects of acid rain. It’s the fault of human beings, which emits nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide from factories, power plants, cars, etc.
Da effects of acid rain can become devastating, since the acidification of rivers, lakes and seas hamper aquatic life, to wear and death of plant life in forests.
To make matters worse, when acid rain falls to the ground, dragging the acidified water with natural fertilizers of the land, thus giving a total poverty, ending stressing the plants, since they remove their minerals and essential ions , thus producing more carnage.
statue degraded by acid rain But not only affects living things, but corrodes buildings and human infrastructure. For example statues and monuments made of marble or limestone, dissolve with each acid rain. Read the rest of this entry »
Organic Foods
Organic, biologique English or in French. In Spanish, are called biological, ecological or organic and are synonyms that are used for food both health care consumers and the balance of the environment in which they occur.
In recent years there has been very popular so-called organic foods, demonstrating the interest of many people for positive change in food and lack of confidence in the safety and production of conventional food.
The expression “organic” those foods, vegetables and fruits in general than at any stage of production involved fertilizers, herbicides or pesticides, nor in the soil where they are grown.

Why be environmentalists?
In The Green Blog we are always emphasizing the importance of caring for our environment all that we can, try to avoid the pollution to all living beings can enjoy a cleaner planet. We know that the environment is primary, but today we question: why be environmentalists?
In fact, we are thinking of feeding humans. Some time ago, we mentioned some information from producers of Andalusia ecologists explaining what is the contribution of foods to global warming. However, it is not necessary to be a producer ecologist to understand the importance of organic food.
Most consumers are more than happy to buy “green” products. In a recent survey by Shelton Group, the group found that consumers who buy organic products at least occasionally, do more thinking about the money spent wisely to help improve the environment.
A recent British study claims that organic foods are more nutritious than food grown in the traditional way. But this is not what makes the matter. If you want to minimize exposure to pesticides and save money, and we know that products labeled organic will always be healthier. Especially when it comes to fruits and vegetables are those with more residues of pesticides. Some of these products are: peaches, apples, bell peppers, celery, strawberries, cherries, cabbage, lettuce, grapes (imported), carrots and pears. Read the rest of this entry »
Global Warming – Potential Impacts

There are many potential impacts of global warming than hypothetically affect the environment and human life according to the theory of global warming. The main thing is the average temperature increased gradually.
From here, there are a number of different effects such as rising sea levels, changes in agricultural ecosystems, the spread of tropical diseases, the increasing intensity of natural phenomena. Some of this phenomenon will produce today, but it is difficult to determine a direct relationship to global warming.
Pollution of the Earth
Introduction to biological, chemical or physical to the half outside. Any undesirable change the natural composition of the medium.
Lands
Wetlands (marshes, mangroves) is one of the ecosystems that produce more alive. Therefore, a large ecological importance and the danger disappeared. Overall assessment of the first revealed that more than 1,200 million hectares (equivalent to the combined areas of China and India) have experienced a serious degradation in forty-five years, according to data from the World Resources Institute.
Waters
Contaminate water is life itself. The entire life cycle, reproduction and human food, animal and marine who is affected. Currently, all the oceans of the world affected by oil spills. Almost every year, spilled into the sea 3.5 million barrels.
Life is Water – no Life Without Water

Life is water, there is no life without water. The fact that the water is about 60% of body weight in men and about 50% in women much evidence of the importance of human life. Because the fat or adipose tissue contains little amount of water, the percentage of total water in obese individuals is less than that introduced the non-obese. The relationship between the total weight of water and body weight free of fat, lean body weight is known, fairly constant in adults the total weight of water represents about 72% of lean body mass. Aqueous space is divided into three compartments: the water in the cell or intracellular spaces, interstitial fluid (between cells) and intravascular fluid, which circulates in the blood vessels. As a curiosity it should be noted that the extracellular fluid has an ionic composition similar to seawater, although more dilute. The third compartment continuously watered in exchange for maintaining a proper balance in the body.
